Jennifer Gildred, MA, ATR, takes a look at inner process, opening the heart, growing the soul, creating ones self, maintaining curiosity and vulnerability, holding true to accountability, and the circuitous process of continually and courageously opening the heart. Animal Hunt, Acrylic on Canvas, 48" x 48"
This was a painting I did in 1987 in Los Angeles. It is one of a series of paintings that I made in an homage to the Cuna Tribe in Panama. The Cuna Tribe are the creators of the amazing Mola art, a fiber art that looks like a fantastic painting. Molas can often be seen sewn on clothing, or some tourists buy them separately to frame alone or make as pillows. I had to recreate them on huge canvases to appreciate them in my own unique way.

Hi Jenn-
Congrats on your new blog. I like your painting and hearing about the inspiration behind it.

Hey Roomie. I'm so lucky that I get to enjoy this painting in the flesh, so to speak. It looks stunning in our living room. I want to see more of your art posted on this blog, and in the house! Ciao, Ruth
